In english clases i made with josefina an essay  .
Our topic was:
School lessons  should come to a stand still during the football  matches

SCHOOL LESSONS SHOULD COME TO A STAND STILL DURING THE FOOTBALL WORLD CUP

The world cup is an event that we all love. Luckily, Argentina is participating in it. We like watching argentine football matches and supporting our team. However , it is important to go to school and have lessons , we can’t do the two things at the same time. What should we do? Shall we go to school and have  normal lessons leaving the World Cup aside? Shall we watch the matches at school and leave clases aside? How about a day off to watch the matches in our houses in a relaxed way? Would that interfere with our learning process?

One advantage of connecting both necessary tasks is that, if done correctly, we can learn about different cultural issues, geographical aspects, sport techniques, have conferences with citizens from participating countries, and even get to know National Anthems. Learning all this will definitely be not only a great opportunity to enlarge our knowledge, but also a way to fully understand the event. Another positive aspect, is that people breath football in our country, so it is an excellent reason to keep us united in spite of our difficulties. Football increases our feeling of nationalism, we feel proud of being argentinians. Furthermore , children can get out of stressing homework and school.

One disadvantage is that people get distracted and they can postpone their responsibilities. Children may miss school lessons and they seem to learn less. Another drawback is that if their team loses, people can get aggressive. Also, they can play tricks in the match.

To sum up it is great fun to watch the football matches. However, if we miss too many lessons we risk learning basic topics. In  my view we can combine both options, watching the matches at school and learn school contents.
